She is now in the process of conducting more in-depth demographic studies for several of the listed Dudleya species populations. Santa Barbara Botanic Garden has funding to survey, monitor, rescue and restore the Dudleya cymosa taxa after the 2018 Woolsey Fire. Additionally, they have funding to figure out how to enhance lichen substrate for D. verityi restoration post 2013 Springs fire. Cal State Channel Islands monitored D. verityi after the Springs Fire, and participated in largely unsuccessful restoration efforts, including drilling planting holes and attaching mature lichens to rock faces, to enhance D. verity recruitment and survival. 20190829. SAMO/SBBG have received 3 yr of funding from the Ventura FWO to monitor, emergency irrigate, and conservation seed bank Dudleya verityi.
