Failure of the weir would put several listed species, including the Comanche Springs pupfish, at risk of significant losses of indiviudals due to loss of water in the habitats. Repair of the weir and the habitat at Phantom was completed in January, 2015. This project essentially restored the degraded habitat at Phantom.
