Spreading Avens F 4 Asheville Ecological Services Field Office (828) 258-3939 Spreading avens Geum radiatum 2 8 Determine the effects of past and ongoing habitat disturbance Ongoing Current Prior to FY 1995 U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Ecological Services Division, State Conservation Agencies, Regional Office 5, USFWS Regional Office 4 Management: Habitat Maintenance and Manipulation Labor type not yet selected RNR2020 - Indicator plots were all trampled by the end of summer. Trail counters were installed to count visitors. RNR2019 - NPS established indicator plots with common species to determine areas trampled at a popular overlook containing GERA. Results of plot monitoring will inform augemention efforts that may occur in the future. Addtionally, the NPS has established a volunteer program that places trail rovers at the overlook to ensure visitors stay on the overlook and do not go over rock walls which delineate the overlook boundary.
